Wait.....what's that?

July 2012 was a very special month for our family!  On July 17th, Jacob celebrated his first birthday.  On July 22, Kyle celebrated  his 30th birthday!  But in between those two special days ended up being very exciting as well!

On July 20th Kyle called and asked if he and Holly could stop by for a few minutes.  Of course, we said yes because we are always happy to see the kids coming.  Since they were over the evening before, we were a little surprised and my "Mom" radar kicked in wondering if they had a special reason for this unexpected visit.  Steve, knowing me so well,  said, "Honey, don't go there"!

Kyle and Holly came in and sat down and just started chit chatting, so I convinced myself they just wanted to visit.  When Kyle pulled out Holly's cell phone and started showing me photos of their recent road trip, I completely forgot my earlier suspicions and enjoyed looking at the pictures.  Kyle was kneeling beside my chair explaining the photos, so Steve and Holly weren't able to see the pictures on the phone.  Kyle was scrolling through pics of racetracks and sprint car races, when suddenly a very different image popped up on the screen.  I didn't immediately know what it was, so I said, "What's that" as he continued to the next photo which was an even better image of a positive pregnancy test!  It took me a minute to realize what I was seeing, and I said again, "Wait, what's that?"  As realization was dawning on me, I think I said "Wait, what's that" at least three or four times with each time becoming louder and more excited!  I started crying and jumped from my seat and started hugging Kyle.  Holly was now standing and crying too and poor Steve was sitting in his chair wondering what all the commotion was about!  I grabbed Holly and we hugged and cried and thanked God for this blessing of a miracle that we had all been praying for for such a long time.  Kyle and Holly had been waiting for two years for this news and that just made the moment so much sweeter!

I'll never forget the way Kyle and Holly shared their news with me!  It was so sweet and special and oh so exciting.....oh yeah, due date is March 26th!
